Invoicing
The whole sales cycle: from the offer to the payment received, with invoices that comply with Swiss law.
The cycle of a sale
- Your records. You enter your clients and your items once, then reuse them in every document.
- The offer. A quote goes to the client. Once accepted, it becomes an invoice in one click.
- The invoice. You create the invoice, then send it by email or by post, with its QR-bill.
- The payment. You record the payments, in full or in part. Late payments are followed in unpaid invoices and dealt with by reminders.
- Fixing mistakes. A sent invoice can no longer be edited: you correct it with a credit note.
For contracts and large amounts: recurring invoices and payment in instalments. Your clients find their documents in the client portal. Coming from other software? Read Import from bexio.

- Create and manage your clients Record your clients once, with their address, payment terms and contacts, then find everything you have invoiced them.
- Create your items and their prices Record your products and services with their price, unit and VAT, then add them to your quotes and invoices by typing a few letters.
- Make a quote and turn it into an invoice Create a quote, send it, follow the client’s answer, then turn it into an invoice without entering anything again.
- Create an invoice Create an invoice that complies with Swiss law, with its lines, its VAT and its QR-bill, and understand its statuses from draft to payment.
- Send an invoice Send your invoices by email or by post, give your client access to their portal, or hand over the PDF yourself.
- Set up the QR-bill Paste the IBAN that receives your payments and To Bill does the rest. It recognises the account, chooses the reference and adds the QR-bill to your invoices in francs and in euros.
- Send reminders to a client who does not pay Send payment reminders by hand or automatically, in three levels, with reminder fees and default interest in line with the Code of Obligations.
- Correct an invoice with a credit note Correct a sent invoice by crediting an amount or lines, with the right VAT, then refund the client if needed.
- Invoice automatically every month Create a recurring invoice for a subscription or a maintenance contract, then let To Bill issue and send each invoice on the right date.
- Have an invoice paid in several instalments Split an invoice’s amount into instalments, each with its own due date, then follow what is paid and what is still owed.
- Record your clients’ payments Record a full or partial payment on an invoice, settle small differences and discounts, and find all your collections.
- Follow unpaid invoices See what your clients owe you, sorted by how late it is, check that it agrees with the books and export the open items list.
- The client portal Your clients find their invoices, quotes and credit notes online, download the PDFs, accept a quote and pay online.
- Bring over your data from bexio or other software Bring over your clients, items, open invoices and trial balance from bexio, or from an Excel or CSV file or PDFs.
